Sundays, October 22 - November 12
October 31 is the 500th anniversary of the advent of the Protestant Reformation. The date refers to the moment when Martin Luther invited a debate of 95 points of contention in the theology and practice of the church. That event led to a reformation of the church that many argue created the modern world. Certainly, the diverse children of the Reformation laid the foundations for the complicated vision and commitments of the United States. We will romp through a sweeping encounter with the Reformation and its impact on the life of the world. We will also look at the effect of the Protestant movement as it was transplanted to Korea and South Africa.
