First Church @180: Holy Communion from the Wesley Chalice
Sunday, October 15, 2017, 10:15 AM - 11:15 AM
We begin our anniversary celebrations by celebrating Holy Communion together from a chalice that Methodism’s founder, John Wesley, sent to the American church from England.
Rev. Fred Day, General Secretary United Methodist Commission on Archives and History, and our Guest Preacher this morning, has brought the chalice to us from its permanent home in Old St. George’s Church in Philadelphia for the beginning of our celebration of First Church’s 180th Anniversary.
Join us during the Christian Formation Hour at 10:15 a.m. for this special intergenerational event.
