Bishop Khegay Preaching at First

We're excited to welcome Bishop Khegay to First United Methodist Church of Madison on June 17.
Bishop Eduard Khegay was born and grew up in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, Soviet Union. He became a Christian through the missionary work of Jonathan Park during his student years in Moscow, Russia. He received his Master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering from Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 1993; Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology, Emory University in 2001; and Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Seminary in Washington, DC in 2010.
Bishop Eduard was elected to the Episcopacy in 2012 and serves in Eurasia Episcopal Area which includes Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. Prior to election he served as a Pastor, Director of Church Development, District Superintendent of St.Petersburg district and Central Asia district, and Assistant to the Bishop.
Bishop Eduard is married to Victoria Nogay. They have two daughters and live in Moscow.
