View the art, make generous bids, and help make mission work happen!
Appalachia Service Project is a ministry that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia. A group of youth and adults from Madison First Church will be traveling to Chavies, Kentucky, this summer where they will serve as ASP volunteers.
Char DeVos, an artist and member of First Church, is offering her support for the trip by auctioning several pieces of her art with the proceeds going toward ASP expenses. Look over the selection of pieces she shared in a Lenten gallery last winter, then bring a piece of Char’s inspiration into your home or workplace by bidding and eventually placing the highest bid. When you place the highest bid, you’ll become the owner of a stunning piece of locally created art that promises to provoke many thoughtful conversations. More importantly, you’ll have the joy of knowing that you’ve helped provide low-income families warmer, safer, and drier homes as you’ve supported a life-changing service experience for First Church youth and adult ASP volunteers.
The auction site closes at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, July 14, 2019. Live bids will be received that same day between 10:00 and 10:15 a.m. on-site at First United Methodist Church followed by an Auction Finale Celebration at 10:15 a.m.
Refreshments will be served and pieces will be presented to owners at that time. Arrangements will be made for art pick-up or delivery for highest bidders not able to be physically present on Sunday, July 14.
Thank you for your generous support of this life changing mission!
