Prayer Shawl Ministry Team
First Monday, from 09/05/2016 to 05/01/2017, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Prayer shawls are tangible, tactile symbols of our prayers of comfort for one another. They are made “in prayer, as prayer, and for prayer.” The making and sharing of prayer shawls has been an ongoing ministry within FUMC for many years, but our prayer shawl cupboard is bare. We need your loving hands and willing hearts to replenish it!
The Prayer Shawl Team meets at 2 p.m. on the first Monday of the month upstairs in the FUMC Chapel. Bring your needlework or just yourself. We will supply ideas and suggested patterns in knit and crochet. If you would like to learn to knit or crochet, we will teach you some simple stitches.
If you can’t come to the meetings, but would like to make a prayer shawl, you may contact Paula Primm via the church office at or 608-338-0545 for the details.
If you know someone who could use the comfort of a prayer shawl, please contact Paula Primm or Jim Ostrander at 608-338-0268.
